Keyword Research Services – Can They Save You Time And Money?
If you aren’t a guru then you may (like me) find keyword research difficult. I can find keywords all day long. Most of what I find are useless though.
When I used Google’s keyword tool I trusted the results 100%. Why wouldn’t I? Big company like that shouldn’t be giving false figures. Sadly, that’s not always how it goes.
The results you see are not always correct, far from it. But it will have been spot on at some time. The answer to this particular enigma came to me almost accidentally.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I was pretty sure I could get a good result with that keyword. I started banging articles out left right and centre. Hundreds in fact.
Not long after I saw that there were now almost nine thousand competing sites. I could hardly believe that. Had there been some mistake? As it happens most of these extra results were my articles on these different sites.
My point being is that I’d have swerved this keyword if I had seen nine thousand competitors. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. A nice situation to be in!
I knew I wasn’t going to get lucky all the time so I decided to try a keyword research service. I was looking to get some decent keywords delivered on a daily basis. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.
Of the keyword research services on offer I opted to try Travis Sago’s Instacash. Travis being at the top of the bum marketing pile. And I like bum marketing, I like it a lot.
If I can get a keyword or two in my in box each day then that saves me valuable time. At least a two hour saving. Two hours or so to me is quite valuable. Put that couples hours saved against the daily cost and it adds up to value.
Outsourcing, outsourcing, outsourcing. Seems to be all you hear from the gurus of internet marketing. I see this as an outsourcing project. I’m paying someone else to research my keywords. I reckon that’s outsourcing.
You can find out just how the trial went over at my site. Earlier I mentioned that I ended up with thousands of articles on websites for a certain keyword. I’ll let you into that little secret on my site.
